Citrine
Known as the 'merchant's stone', citrine is traditionally kept in cash registers and wallets to invite prosperity. Its sunny colour links it to the solar plexus, self-worth and optimism, and many books say it never needs cleansing because it does not hold onto negativity.

How people use it
Placed in the wealth corner of a home or business, carried in a wallet, or held while setting goals.
Care & cleansing
Sun-loving per the Picker's Rock guide: 'This sunny stone loves the sunlight.' Note: much citrine sold is heat-treated amethyst; both are quartz.
General cleansing methods from the Picker's Rock beginner's guide: running water, moonlight, selenite bowls and brief sunlight. Read the guide.
