Malachite
Malachite's bold banded green was ground into eye paint in ancient Egypt and carved into protective amulets in Europe. Crystal tradition calls it a stone of transformation, believed to draw out what no longer serves you and help you move through change.

How people use it
Worn as jewellery or placed on the heart; many people use polished pieces only.
Care & cleansing
Use polished pieces, keep it dry and avoid making elixirs: raw malachite dust contains copper and is toxic if inhaled or ingested. Wash hands after handling raw pieces.
General cleansing methods from the Picker's Rock beginner's guide: running water, moonlight, selenite bowls and brief sunlight. Read the guide.
