Selenite
Named for Selene, Greek goddess of the moon. Selenite is believed to be self-cleansing and to cleanse other stones, which is why the Picker's Rock guide recommends placing crystals in 'a selenite bowl for an easy cleanse.'

How people use it
Used as a charging plate or bowl, waved through the aura like a wand, or set on a windowsill.
Care & cleansing
Water-soluble and very soft: never wash it. It never needs cleansing in tradition.
General cleansing methods from the Picker's Rock beginner's guide: running water, moonlight, selenite bowls and brief sunlight. Read the guide.
